The NKD Management Board Dr. Ulrich Hanfeld, R\u00fcdiger Hartmann (Finance) and Christian Welles (Sales) will be expanded by a new Chief Purchase Officer. Alexander Schm\u00f6kel (51) will assume the role of Chief Purchase Officer from 1 January 2017. He will be responsible for strategic purchasing, category management, global procurement and quality management. Since the departure of Christian M\u00fcller, these areas had been successfully managed by the CEO, Dr. Ulrich Hanfeld.<\/p>\n
Mr. Schm\u00f6kel has an impressive experience in various Top Management- and Executive functions not only in textile and non-food trade but also in manufacturing companies. Among others, he gained his excellent professional and managerial experience in successful positions at almost all well-known textile retail companies, including TAKKO Modemarkt GmbH, KiK Textilien und Non-Food GmbH and most recently as Managing Director Purchasing (CPO) at Woolworth GmbH, Unna.<\/p>\n
