NKD is growing

NKD is pursuing a long-term growth strategy and intends to expand its store network by acquiring select locations in Germany and Central Europe. The development of the store network consistently complies with NKD’s positioning as a local value retailer with a full clothing product range.

NKD is therefore looking for central locations with good traffic connections in cities or districts with populations of more than 10,000 in Germany and populations of at least 3,000 elsewhere in Europe. Their sales area varies between 300 and around 450 square metres depending on the location.

  • Cities or independent districts with populations of at least 10,000. Both existing properties and new buildings.
  • Neighbourhoods with appealing commercial environments and complementary retailers, such as e.g. shoe shops, grocery stores, chemists etc.


  • Sales area of approx. 300 to 450 m² on the ground floor.
  • Shop width of at least 10 m.
  • Impressive shop front.
  • Ancillary rooms of at least approx. 30 m
    Street sales area of at least 3 m² in front of the entrance.


  • Good locations in the inner city.
  • Retail locations that are easy to reach and highly visible to road users.
  • Attractive malls and specialist retailers in commercial areas and retail parks.
  • Second store: is there already an NKD space in your town or city? This is not a hurdle if NKD can be improved or enlarged, or if a second store can be run profitably at the location.
